Oral Surgery

Oral Surgery diagnoses and treats defects in the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region.

Oral Surgery is the area of Dentistry responsible for all surgical procedures related with the extraction of teeth that cannot be kept in the oral cavity. It also includes diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral region.

This is the area responsible for extracting teeth (wisdom teeth, teeth with extensive decay, teeth without bone support and unerupted teeth) as well as the diagnosis and removal of bone or soft tissue cysts and tumours.

At Poço Novo Clinic we are properly equipped and we work in a multidisciplinary way. Dentistry requires the interconnection of various areas. Oral Surgery acts in terms of functionality and aesthetics and therefore combines its rigorous and demanding service with the know-how of other sectors such as Implantology, Orthodontics, Dental Prostheses and Periodontology.
